About Folklore
75% Bluefaced Leicester wool / 25% Masham

4ply: 100g/400m approx.
DK: 100g/240m approx.

Folklore, our BFL/Masham base, blends the ideal qualities of British wool. Rustic looking yet beautifully soft, this non-superwash yarn is perfect for cosy sweaters, drapey shawls and woolly hats.

Folklore is 100% British wool, spun in the UK and handdyed in our North Yorkshire studio in small batches. As with any hand-dyed yarn slight variations in shade can be expected. Due to the milling process, a small number of knots can occur. If you find a knot in your skein, simply cut the yarn and attach again as you would when changing colours.

Shipping times
I will endeavour to ship all dyed-to-order purchases within 2 - 4 weeks of your order date. If there is any variance to this (for example, for very large orders or if I have a shop holiday coming up) I will contact you to discuss as soon as I have received your order.

Aftercare
Hand wash only. Use luke warm water and a mild detergent, gently press out excess water and dry flat.

All our yarns are ethically sourced.

***

Please note that although I try to ensure that the product photos are true to life, colours may vary depending on your monitor or device. All my yarn is hand-dyed in small batches and variations between skeins should be expected. If you buy more than one skein of the same colourway then I will endeavour to select them from the same batch. Due to the individual nature of hand-dyed yarn, I would always recommend alternating skeins or knitting from both ends of the same ball if you are concerned about colour pooling or mismatching.

Whilst every effort is taken to rinse all remaining dye from the yarn, there may be a slight colour bleed on the first wash.
